About Me

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Jenny. I am a former elementary school teacher and am now a stay at home mom for my 2 beautiful children. I am married to the love of my life who also just happens to be my high school sweetheart.

Friends and acquaintances are CONSTANTLY  asking me for book recommendations…and so this blog was born.

My love for books began as a child. My reward for anything was always that I was taken to the bookstore and was told that I could choose any book in the store. It was pure heaven to me…the smell of the books, the thrill of thinking of all of the places where these magical books could immediately transport me…I was instantly hooked. In kindergarten, I was taken to a special classroom each day during reading time because I was an “advanced” reader.  In high school I would create binders dedicated to books I loved filled with my personal reflections. In college, I was a Language Arts minor and was fascinated by Shakespeare and Siddhartha Gautama. As a teacher, read alouds were always the best part of the day. As a mother, watching my children discover the world of reading has been a gift. There has never been a time in my life where I haven’t absolutely loved reading. To this day, bookstores are still one my very favorite places to be! I am obsessed with books, libraries, bookstores, book discussions, etc.

My hope for this space is for it to be a place for people to discuss everything related to books and to discover new favorites. Please feel free to comment on my posts. I look forward to hearing your opinions! Book discussions can be amazing and enlightening, please feel free to chime in whether your opinion is a popular one or not.

It really helps me when people subscribe/follow my blog.  I would be so thankful if you would!  Also, please follow me on Facebook (www.fb.com/bookcoffeehappy) and Twitter @bookcoffeehappy.

So pull up a chair, grab a steaming mug of coffee (another obsession of mine), and join me as I review and discuss all things books!

Xo,

Jenny
