Books That I’ll {Probably} Never Read Tag

A big thank you to Never Not Reading for tagging me in this fun book tag!  I love participating in these!  This was a fun one to fill out 🙂

I obviously don’t have a desire to read any of the following books…but maybe you do!  If so, click the images of each book below to order them through my Amazon affiliate links.  When you order through these links, I receive a tiny commission. Thank you for your support, Xo

A really hyped book that you’re not interested in reading:

People LOVE this book and yet I have ZERO desire to read it.  This Facebook post that I wrote back in April pretty much sums up my feelings on this one.  I just don’t get the hype and honestly I’m not willing to read it to find out why everyone loves it so much.  I’ll probably get a lot of backlash on this…have you read it???  I truly don’t think I ever will.

A series you won’t start/won’t be finishing:

I started reading this series for the same reason everyone started reading this series, lol. #taboosex (now there’s a hashtag I haven’t used before, lol). The writing was awful but honestly…was anybody REALLY expecting the writing to be award winning???  I read the first 2 books but by the 3rd, it was more about their love than about their sex life.  And if I want to read a good love story, there are so many better ones out there.  Never even opened the 3rd and then this happened…

LOVE.  I hope the residents are enjoying them 😉

A classic you’re not interested in:

Nope.  Nope.  Nope.

A book on your shelf you’ll probably never actually read:

I’m never reading this book.  My husband plans to but I have no desire.  If Olivia Pope couldn’t keep me interested in political drama, I highly doubt James Patterson will be able to.  I officially gave up on Scandal after 4 seasons and I’m officially giving up on this book before I even open to page 1.  Not for me.

What books will you (probably) never read?

  1. I’m usually not a bandwagon person, but one of my friends, who is like my book twin (we like ALL the same books) LOVED it, as it was her book club’s pick. Her whole book club loved it. She’s in my book club too, so I picked it just this month. So far, I cannot believe how much I love it. I think you should give it a try! Pleeeeeeease??? Lol!

  2. I will never read Crawdad either. Does not sound good to me at all. Also, I read 50 Shades – thought they were all horrible and wish I could regain those hours in my life again.
As for books I will never read – great question! I have had several on my shelf for YEARS and while I want to read them (or at least did want to at one time), my guess is that I never will. Not necessarily because they do not appeal to me because obviously I bought them for a reason. So I will probably never read Lolita, East of Eden, Rebecca, The Casual Vacancy.
I am sure there are others I will never read that are pretty popular right now, but I can’t think off the top of my head.

  3. Haha! I have that book by Bill Clinton and James Patterson only because I got it for free. I may try to read it one day (maybe), but definitely not interested in political drama either. We already have that in real life lol

  4. I have been constantly hearing about this WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING for months, and I still have no idea what the book is about. LOL Maybe I will get around to finding out when it gets adapted. I actually read the entire Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy because I just couldn’t quit it until I found out how the story ended, but getting through that third book was definitely a struggle.

I think the book that I will probably never read is MOBY DICK, which has been on my bookshelf for years!!!!! It is a huge hardback that I won’t be picking up any time soon.
